It was created to provide a seamless experience for tailors and clients to design, order and track custom clothing orders. In the last quarter of 2021, the application had registered 100 local tailors by the Q2 of this year, it had totaled 500. Based on the current performance and function of intensified marketing efforts, the platform is projected to double if not triple the number of registered tailors and vendors by the end of Q3.
Founder and CEO, Ibi Cookey stated that the purpose of the app was to help scale local tailors globally. According to Ibi, this will not only benefit the profitability of businesses but redefine the beauty and value of the African fashion world.
“The fitted tailors’ app was founded to help break out the limitations of the local tailors in terms of clientele and visibility. There is a need to spotlight the creativity and relevance of these tailors to the world. For this reason, we want to provide such an experience in terms of market access for tailors and customer experience for African fashion enthusiasts. In the future, Africa’s fashion will be able to permeate easily beyond the shores of the continent. The tailor platform has registered over 500 tailors, there is space for more”, he said.
